Zonamae Pinski, known to everyone as "Zona," passed away on December 21, 2018, at the age of 70 years. Born in Evansville, Indiana on April 10, 1948, Zona's parents, Harlan and Rena West, moved the family to Fenton, Missouri in 1960 due to the relocation of the Chrysler plant. Zona met the love of her life, Stan Pinski, while working at McDonnell-Douglas, manufacturing airplanes. They married in 1969 and had a daughter, Rene, in 1973. Together, they made a wonderful life for themselves in Fenton, while always taking time each year to vacation, mostly in Colorado. Their grandson, Joel, was born in 2001 and they loved spending time with him more than anything. Family was always Zona's first priority. That being said, many of Zona's friends were like family to her. Zona made many friends throughout her career working in customer service, purchasing and account management. After Stan's passing in 2010, Zona could often be found riding her bike on the Katy Trail, taking long walks through Laumeier Sculpture Park, or spending quality time and sharing meals with her closest friends. Zona also proudly volunteered for the Missouri Botanical Gardens, helping run events, or installing new flower beds as the seasons evolved. Never without a smile or a laugh, Zona encouraged people, both young and old, to have fun. She did not seem to know any strangers. She truly cherished the well-being of others, and was there to lend a hand, without ever needing to be asked. Zona will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rene (Sean) Dulle, grandson, Joel, and brother, Guy West. Zona was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley W. Pinski, and her brother, Charles F. West. Zona will also be forever remembered by her extended family and numerous dear friends. A Celebration of Zona's life will be held at 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 30, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 505 S. Kirkwood Rd., Kirkwood, MO 63122.
