Wanda Lee Elder, 92, passed away on May 17, 2023, in Valley Park, MO. Wanda was born, April 23, 1931 to Robert and Ora Mae (nee Moore) Gales at Bragg City, MO. She married James D. Elder on February 14, 1950 at Piggott, AK. Wanda was mother of Larry (Barbara) Elder, of Cedar Hills, MO., Sandra (Steve) Parris, of Labride, MO., Randal Elder, of Pacific, MO., Danny Ray Elder, of St. Louis, MO., and Teresa (Fernando) Vega, of Kansas City, MO. She was sister of Frances Vancil, of Union, MO., Darlene (Lindell) Wallace of Granite City, IL., Mary Ann Ligeon, Bob (Arlene) Gales, of Hillsboro, MO., and Charles Gales. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband James Elder, her parents, Robert Gales and Ora Mae (nee Moore) Gales, her son Danny Elder, her sister Mary Ann Ligeons and brother, Charles Gales. Burial: Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 1:30pm at Our Redeemer Cemetery, 8300 Mackenzie Road Affton, Missouri, 63123.
