Walter Marvin Abbott passed Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Loving son of the late Jeneatha M. Abbott and Robert E. Abbott, Sr.; honored brother of Maemarie "Mae" Cox, and the late Robert E. Abbott, Jr., and Susan J. Abbott.

Beloved husband of the late Linda S. Abbott (nee Montgomery); father of Mark (Katy Aull) Abbott, Joseph (Jennifer Warfield) Abbott, Jason Abbott, and Walter "Bo" (Denise) Abbott; and grandfather of Vera, Lyla, Lexie (Tanner) Post, and Nikki (Partner Trinity Clark) Abbott. Cherished friend to his former wife Linda (Rick) Zgiet.

Walter dedicated 45 years of his professional life to Boeing, where his hard work, commitment, and loyalty were deeply valued.

While his presence will be greatly missed, Walter will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his steady character, and the many years of love and memories he shared with those closest to him.

A private family service will be held for Walter.
