Trevor Blake Minner, 20, asleep now in the arms of Grandpa Voelker, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 7th, 2023 in Fenton, Missouri. He was born on February 21, 2003 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Marie Voelker Andrews and Mickael Minner. Unexpectedly and unknown at this time, he was taken from us. Trevor was an easy-going guy who loved amusement parks, movies, playing video games and shooting his pellet gun in the backyard. He had dark, thick hair and an Elvis smirk that his mother and Cliff loved. He was a soft-spoken, compassionate young man, and always there for his mother; never complaining or wanting for anything; he was everything his mother could ask of a son. Trevor adored his cat Theo, and had a soft spot for the family dogs: Skye, Axle, and JT.....even though he really preferred cats! Trevor graduated from Fox High School in May 2021. While in high school he worked part time at Imo's Pizza. Upon graduation he wasn't sure exactly what career path he wanted to take, so many options. Unfortunately, like many others of his age he lost half of his Junior and all his Senior High School year of job exploration due to COVID restrictions. He began to explore different paths on his own after graduation. He learned how to weld and worked various construction jobs. In December of 2022, he decided to pursue a degree in Psychology. He was accepted to Truman State University, awarded the Bull Dog Scholarship and began studies in January. He finished his first semester of college in May. Trevor was enjoying his time back at home for the summer but looking forward to returning to school in a couple of weeks and into his own apartment. Survivors include his loving mother and stepfather, Marie and Clifford Andrews, his Grandmother, Doris Voelker, Aunts; Tammy (James) Luer, Holly Judd, and first cousins, Derek Voelker, Clayton Meyr, Brandon Meyr and Kaitlin Luer. Biological father Mickael Minner, Grandmother Martha Smith, and siblings; Lancelot McGuire, Alissa Minner, and McKenzie Minner. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Troy Voelker, Grandfathers; Gary Voelker, and Richard Minner. Trevor will be laid to rest eternally on Grandpa Voelker's birthday August 15th at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, Missouri. Please join us as we remember Trevor on Wednesday, August 16th from 5-8 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 6327 Lemay Ferry Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63129. Memorial Contributions may be given to Marie Andrews for funeral expenses.
