Timothy Eves Hogan, born on December 6, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. He leaves behind a footprint that will be long remembered by his family, friends and colleagues. Tim is survived by his daughter Isabella Marie Hogan (Bella)and son Benjamin Lee Hogan (Ben) and seven siblings: Eileen Krahman (Tom), Daniel Hogan (Pat), Susan Buydos (Jack),Mary Lee Rowlett (Mike), Thomas Hogan, Julie Pickering (Bryan) and Tracy Knoll (John). Additionally, Tim is survived by numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom were his favorite. Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Hogan, his sister Pat Hogan, and his parents, Daniel and Patricia Hogan. Tim was a devoted father who participated in his children's lives. Bella and Ben are his greatest joy and he thanks their mother, JoElla Hogan, for giving him this gift. Through the years, Tim participated in an assortment of activities and had various career paths. He played youth sports at St. Luke's grade school, CYC teams, high school sports at Mercy High School, rugby with the Little Rascals, skiing in Winter Park Colorado and Aikido martial arts. Tim attended St. Louis University, graduating in 1983 with a BA in Political Science, cum laude. He then graduated from St. Louis University Law School, Class of 1985, J.D. Tim was also a member of Alpha Delta Gamma. Tim shared his life with many cats and enjoyed poker and video games. He worked in St. Louis, New York City and Washington DC. He worked for and with consumer protection groups, political campaigns, public defense, private practice and civil defense. The family will honor Tim's life on Saturday, October 25, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 to 3:00 pm with a service from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home Maplewood Chapel 7456 Manchester, 63143. A celebration of life will follow at Seamus McDaniel's, 1208 Tamm Avenue, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary, (ODAS), where Tim, Bella and Ben spent many hours caring for and loving on many stray cats.
