Thomas Wilson Withinton, 81, passed away on June 17, 2024, in St. Louis, MO. He was born on October 20, 1942, beloved son of the late Thomas Withinton Sr. and Wilma Guenther. Thomas is survived by Linda Withinton - wife, Thomas (Linda) Withinton III - son, Michael Withinton-son, Dasha (Eric) Merz-daughter. Lynne (Bob) Weaver - sister, Jerry (Nancy) Withinton - brother, Larry (Elena) Withinton - brother; Grandchildren Christopher, Melissa, Thomas Jacob, Abigail, Allyson, Clayton, Addison; Great-Grandchildren Olivia; nieces, nephews, and a friend to many. Tom was born in 1942 in St Louis, MO. He grew up in St James,MO where he was the 2nd oldest of 4 siblings, the oldest son. He graduated High School in 1960. In 1964, Tom joined the Air Force and proudly served his country until 1968 and is a Vietnam Veteran. Tom and Linda were married on May 7,1987 in the back of a feed store by the Justice of the Peace in Sevierville, TN. He worked for Xerox for 40 years and retired in 2003. Tom was a member of American Legion Post 162 in Lemay, MO. Tom loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, spending time at his brother Jerry's lake home in Festus, MO. He loved watching Cardinals baseball and was a huge collector of Cardinals Memorabilia. Gardening was one of his many passions. His yard was always full of flowers and his garden full of vegetables. His granddaughter has the fond memory of picking out seeds in a catalog with him each year. He enjoyed feeding the wild birds so his yard was full of bird feeders and a bird bath. He loved spending time with his 2 dogs Bo and Casey. They followed him wherever he went. When he wasn't gardening, you could find him in his garage listening to country music and playing card games on his computer. Thomas will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
