Thomas "Tom" J. Clayton, passed on Sunday May 17, 2015. Beloved husband of 30 years to Jamie Elizabeth Clayton (nee Dore) Loving father of Timothy Joseph Clayton and Derek James Clayton. Cherished brother of John (Terry) Clayton, Ellen (Tom) Kurtz, Jeanie (Dan) Slater and Wendy (Steve) Gonzalez. Tom was a huge sports fan especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the St Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues and NASCAR Racing. He loved to play volleyball, wallyball, and softball. He coached his sons' soccer, baseball and basketball teams. Tom was a long time active member of the Fenton Athletic Association where he could be seen working the concession stand, handling the books, helping out wherever it was needed, and cheering on his kids and their friends. Tom enjoyed traveling in his RV to go camping, to car races and football games with family and friends. He loved attending family reunions with his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was always working on organizing the next party or trip. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and search for morel mushrooms in the woods. Tom was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was always ready to give a helping hand with a smile, a hug or handshake, and a story to share/tell. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 4-8:00pm at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 777 Oakwood Dr., Fenton, MO.
