Teddy L. Welborn left our loving care and entered his Lord's loving arms on November 8, 2024. Teddy was born February 8, 1947, in LaHarpe, Illinois. He married Mary Harris in Dallas City, Illinois in 1966. Teddy was an Air Force radar repairman during the Viet Nam conflict and after worked in carpentry at the Lumber Company and Northrup Construction in Dallas City. In the mid 1970's, Teddy worked as a millwright at the Hubinger Company in Keokuk, Iowa. He returned to carpentry in 1987 as a journeyman with Markway Construction in St. Louis, Missouri, becoming disabled in 2006. Others will admire and enjoy his craftsman for years to come. Teddy loved the Lord and served as a Deacon, Elder or Trustee where he worshiped. In testament to his faith, Teddy gave of his time and talent tirelessly to the church and congregation. He loved talking to people and had a strong conviction to help others. He had the same commitment to his loved ones, always available to lend a hand or share his knowledge. He loved hunting treasures to add to his numerous collections. He was fascinated with wooden boxes too small to hold anything, oil cans that could hold no more than a drop of oil and miniature cast iron cars; of which his great grandsons are in awe of. Teddy is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Darlene Welborn; sister Cindy Love; parents-in-law Rev. Charles and Eldora Harris; and brother-in-law Dr. Edwin Harris. He is survived by Mary, his beloved wife of 58 years; three daughters: Ann Wallenmeyer of Springfield, Missouri; Carol (Graham) Markway of Fenton, Missouri and Sandra Harden of Arnold, Missouri; one brother Paul (Linda) Welborn of Burlington, Iowa; a sister-in-law Dr. Linda Deaver of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren: Brittney Harden of Arnold, Missouri; Courtney (John) Elliot of Cedar Hill, Missouri; Melinda (Jeff) Moore of Springfield, Missouri; Alyssa (Joe) Lipsmire of Dittmer, Missouri and Teddy Wallenmeyer of Springfield, Missouri; 10 great grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
