DeMar, Susanne Died in her sleep on Valentine's evening, February, 2011 in her home. She was born Susan Irene Martin on April 16, 1954 in Braintree, Essex to Irvin Martin Sr. and Margaret Anne Saunders. True to Susan's personal style, she added pizzazz to her once-common name and has gone by Susanne for many years. She is survived by her children, Ariana Jordan, 34, Zachary Trevaskis, 24 whom she often referred to as A-Z, and her brother Irvin "Bud" Martin of San Diego, California. She was proud to be a dual national and travel throughout the world: Europe, Canada, Caribbean and thge United States. a highlight of her travels was to board the Queen Elizabeth II with her Grandmother, Irene Martin. She raised her children in Santa Monica, California and reluctantly moved back to St. Louis to follow her children. After graduating with a Communications and Philosophy double major from The University of Missouri, St. Louis in 1980, and recieved a Certificate in P.R. from UCLA, she exceeded professionally as an executive for British Caledonian Airways, Reg Grundy Productions in Los Angeles, Mark Goodson Television. She owned two businesses including DeMar P.R. and DeMar P.R. Models whose clients included House of Blues, Club Mrd and The Route 66 Organization. She was a talented, published writer and had a love of music and this transformed into her becoming a DJ for St. Louis Blues and various other venues in/around St. Louis. She will be remembered for her spiritual nature, perserverance through life's difficulties, uncanny wit and intelligence, but most of all the love for her children Memorial visitation Sunday, February 20, 2011, 3-6pm with memorial service at 6pm at Jay B.
