Steven Earl Alcorn passed away unexpectedly at his home in Farmington, Missouri on the afternoon of November 19th, 2025. He was born in Grand Junction, Colorado to parents Percy Eugene Alcorn & Virgie Earline Alcorn (Ash) on February 28th 1950.
Steve was a proud US Navy veteran who served his country with honor from November 1969 thru March 1973. During the Vietnam War, Steve considered it "an honor to have had the privilege" to work on the fast paced flight deck of the USS Saratoga CV 60, as an Aircraft Mechanic on the McDonnell Douglas F4 Fantoms. His patriotism was evident in both his service and his daily life.
Steven is survived by son Clifford Earl Alcorn, daughter Sarah Earline Farrue (Alcorn) with husband Michael Farrue Jr., grandchildren Trenton Farrue, Courtney Farrue, & Arrianna Eaton, great grandson Ashton Eaton, sister Peggy Thornhill with husband Scott Thornhill, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins & other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by father Percy Eugene Alcorn, mother Virgie Earline Alcorn (Ash), brother Michael Alcorn, sister Rebecca Zykan, & brother James Williamson.
A visitation for Steve will be held on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at Jay B. Smith funeral homes in Fenton, Missouri from 4pm-8pm & a funeral service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025 at 1130am with a procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery arriving at 130pm to follow.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to make donation to two charities Steve held very close to his heart, the US Veterans Affairs & the Special Olympics of Missouri
