Stephen Jent, 57, died in his home in Webster Groves on February 11, 2017. He was born on February 1,1960. He graduated from Plano High School in 1978 and Chicago State University in 1981. He worked as a computer programmer until 1995, when he moved with his family to St. Louis. He began as a part-time woodworking teacher at the Waldorf School of St. Louis in 2000 and soon moved into a full-time position as a grades teacher. He was a maker of instruments, science experiments, music and Scottish accents. He is survived by his parents, Bonnie and Liston Jent, his brother Larry, his wife Deanna and three children – Christopher, Lindzey and Andy. He is further survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins. Visitation will be at 1 pm Saturday, February 18 at the First United Methodist Church of Webster Groves, 600 North Bompart, Webster Groves MO 63119. A Memorial Service will be held at the church at 3 pm. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Waldorf School of St. Louis, 915 Elm Ave., St. Louis, MO 63119.
