Sharon Onita Edgington-Evans Duwe, 72, of Crystal City died Jan. 12, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Edgington-Evans Duwe was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Born Feb. 4, 1951, in East St. Louis, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Mary C. (Martin) Evans and George Edgington. She is survived by her husband: Edward E. Duwe of Crystal City; four sons: Bradley R. (Jami) Evans, Michael E. (Jackie) Sterba, Damien C. (Alexis) Duwe and Ian A. (Naomi) Duwe; 10 grandchildren: Jana, Joshua, Lauren, Dalton Evans-Tyler, Alexis, Ashley, Micha, Jacob Sterba, Jacqueline and John; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold Hartmann and Robert (Cassie) Evans; three sisters: Mary Roark, Frances (Glen) Newkirk and Jolene Hart; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister: Margaret Reis; and two brothers: Richard and Dennis Lane. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at American Legion 283 at 910 Montebello Road in Imperial. Arrangements are under the direction of Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Fenton.
