As everyone knows he was the good looking one that all the girls adored. He always had a smile, always a kind word. He was the type of guy everyone liked and wanted to be around. I remember changing his diapers. I remember Ronnie coming to Rolla to visit me. I remember his sail boat and the joy it brought him. I remember how he loved to ski; how our family mom, dad, Rich, Betty and I loved to go out on the ski boat...even though I would never admit it to him he was the better skier. I remember how proud he was being a father to Jon and Chris. I remember arguing with him about whether I could call myself an ironworker or not...he said definitely not. I remember how he loved the mountains and his plans to move to Colorado or Montana. I remembered that he always wanted to be a cowboy...take a look at the Remington painting of Scout and you will see Ronnie sitting on a horse...I swear it is Ronnie in a previous life... Six weeks ago I was with Ronnie in the hospital. He was charming all the nurses...his warm smile...his laugh...his jokes...he was certainly the star of the intensive-care ward. He consoled me...he said that we shouldn't be sad...he said that he had a good life, a wonderful life full and he was ready to go. And Ronnie was certainly blessed with two great sons; Chris and Jon. Jon was continuously by Ronnie's side...he was a rock...Ronnie loves you boys! Ronnie is going to rest at Jefferson Barracks where our father his buried. Ronnie loved Dad...Dad was his best friend... and he wanted to be close to him for eternity. My last memory was Ronnie saying, "I love you with all my heart" and my last words to him were "I love you little brother".
