Obituary

Ronald "Ron" N. Strang, age 80 of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at his residence. Ron was born April 23, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio, a son to the late Merritt and Nannie Helena (nee Durham) Strang. He graduated from Lake High School in Ohio. Ron honorably served his country in the United States Army from October 1956 to December 1958. On June 10, 1960, he was united in marriage to Anne Franks in Michigan. They were wed for 40 years until her death on April 7, 2001. Ron was an election judge for Gasconade County, helped with FOCL Book Sale, and was involved in the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. He was always willing to donate his time to various charities and organizations. Ron is survived by: two daughters, Susan Ing of St. Louis, and Shelley Boyster of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Lindsay Nitzsche, Alex Boyster, and Cody Boyster; one great grandchild, Sawyer Nitzsche; and one sister, Beverly Sinon of Toledo, OH. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Red Cross in Ron's name.
