​Robert (Bob) Sampson, age 93, of St. Louis County, Missouri passed away on June 5th, 2026, at the St. Louis de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis County, Missouri. He was born on October 8, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Lela (nee Stewart) and Guy Sampson.
​In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Jean (James) D'Wolf (1988), brother Edward Sampson (2000), and son, Patrick Sampson (2023).
​He is survived by his sons, Brian Sampson, Bruce Sampson, and Peter Sampson; daughter-in-law Kirstin (Bruce) Sampson; and grandson Andrew Sampson.
​Robert graduated from Southwest High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1949, and later attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He served honorably in the United States Army Reserve (Signal Corps), while stationed in Okinawa, Japan in the 1950's after the Korean War Ceasefire. He then went on to enjoy a long and successful career in news print equipment sales, before retiring in 1995 to enjoy family, friends, and woodworking.
​Interment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (St. Louis County, Missouri), with a private family ceremony to be held at a later date.
