Robert Paul Mackiewicz, 71 Born November 12, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri to John & Lucille Mackiewicz, and passed at homelast Monday, September 2nd, 2024 in Leslie Missouri with family at his side. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army from July 1971 to February 1973 as a MotorTransport Operator. PFC Mackiewiz earned the National Defense Service Medal, SharpshooterBadge Rifle M16 and the Expert Badge-Hand Grenade. He married the love of his life onSeptember 7th 1974.Bob was a member of LOCAL 3 - I.U.E.C. for 20 years before retiring in 2004.He was a proud member of Freedom of the Road Riders, Bikers Against Child Abuse, and MissouriHunting Heritage Federation. Bob and Linda moved to their dream home on the lake in 2021 with their dog Buddy.Bob liked to spend his time outside. He loved Linda more than life and held dear reading the Biblewith her in the morning. He loved swimming, camping, fishing, hunting, and enjoyed teaching theyounger generations about all things outdoors.He was an avid fan of all sports;but, took a special interest in Nascar, the St. Louis Cardinalsbaseball team, and the Kansas City Chiefs football team. He would do everything he could to help aloved one in need.Bob knew how to have fun. He loved racing his stock car, dancing, riding his motorcycle, and cliffdiving. He lived a full, fun life and will be sorely missed by many. Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Linda Mackiewicz (Harness), his son RobertMackiewicz Jr., his daughter, Belinda (Joe) RattySiblings; Joan Terrell, John (Tami) Mackiewicz, James (Sam) Mackiewicz, Patricia (Ron) Pauly, MaryMackiewicz Shucart, Anthony Mackiewicz, Thomas (Rhonda) Mackiewicz.Sister/Brother in law; Cynthia (Greg) Heeley, Douglas Harness.Grandchildren; Robert (Elizabeth) Mackiewicz, Hannah (Alexis) Ratty, Hailey Mackiewicz, JackRatty, Great Granddaughter Sylvia Rose Mackiewicz.Dearly loved uncle,Great uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, at 9:30 am followed by funeral service at 10:45 am atJay B. Smith Funeral home in Maplewood, 7456 Manchester Rd, St. Louis, MO. A processional to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will immediately follow the conclusion of the service for agraveside service at 12:30 pm.
