Robert "Bob" Foster, 80, of Barnhart, MO, passed away on Saturday, Oct 10, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL with his loving son at his side. Robert was born Feb 18, 1940 to the late Francis and Veronica Foster (nee Fraser). He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Foster, sister Frances Siebert, and brother-in-law Warren Siebert, as well as several aunts and uncles. Surviving are Robert's four children, Robert S. Foster of St. Louis, MO, William R. Foster (Rosie) of Webster Groves, MO, Katie C. LaMar (Cody) of Hillsboro, MO, Jasen L. Brown (Mandee) of Troy, IL; grandchildren Miabella, Evan, and Jacob; longtime companion Joyce Ebert and her grandson Joey. Bob was a successful business owner for over 40 years in the city of St. Louis. He was a very social man who enjoyed holidays and family events, but he also enjoyed getting back to his home in a secluded and wooded area of Jefferson County about a half hour drive from downtown St. Louis. He thrived on turning what some thought of as junk into a means to enjoy the independent life he always wanted. He enjoyed putting good men to work, and was always willing to offer a hand to those who needed it. He loved animals, and formed a special bond with all his pets over the years. He loved model trains, cars, and cash, and enjoyed showing off whatever new and interesting trinket he'd found. He took pride in the accomplishments of his children, and never hesitated to let them know how he felt. Bob Foster was a good man, and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Interment will be private on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 at 10:00 am in Barnhart, MO.
