Robert David Berry, age 74, went home to be with his Savior on March 9, 2026.

Robert was born on October 8, 1951 in Olney, IL to Wayne and Bernadine Berry. He grew up in a loving family in Claremont, IL where he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his older brother and working in his parents' grocery store.

After receiving a degree in Economics from Eastern Illinois University, Robert joined the Army where he received training in computer programming. He, then, attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where he obtained a Computer Science degree. It was there he met his future wife, Donna Hilton.

Upon their marriage in 1979, Donna joined Robert in St. Louis where their two sons, Mark and Timothy, were born. Robert worked as a computer programmer and data analyst for Concordia Publishing and Ralston Purina before joining Spencer & Spencer Systems (later Ciber) as a contract programmer.

Robert was a devoted and dependable husband and father who led and taught more by his actions than his words. He was diligent in supporting his sons in all their activities and carried this over to enthusiastically supporting (with all the requisite travel) his grandchildren with their events, as well.

Robert was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Fenton for 40 years, ensuring his sons attended every possible service and extracurricular activity (even when they were grounded). He served with Donna as a leader for Mission Friends for many years, and also led Bible Drill.

Robert leaves behind his wife, Donna Berry; his two sons, Mark (Nicole) Berry of Fenton, MO and Timothy (Christy) Berry of Raytown, MO; his five grandchildren, Jordan, James, Galena, Caleb, and Luke; his sister-in-law Glenda Berry of Paris, IL, and his two sisters Janette (William) Van Hoesen of Bethalto, IL and Barbara (John) Berger of Makanda, IL.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Wayne C Berry; his mother, Bernadine Berry; and his brother, Wayne C. Berry, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IMB (International Mission Board, 3806 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23230 or imb.org/give) in memory of Robert
