Once involved in cooking, I felt the need to take culinary classes where I discovered my talent. Cooking changed my attitude from just doing a "job" for the community to becoming my passion. Also, I have a passion for horses. I love taking long walks every day, especially in the cool pre-dawn hours which afford me quiet time for prayer and meditation. Although I never became a mountain climber, my daily walks provided valuable experience when in 1989, I was called to spend time at the site of the Apparition of Our Lady of La Salette in the majestic French Alps." Brother Luke is survived by his older brother, Harold (Joe) Bauer, Jr. (Janice), his older sister, Patsy Mann and by his younger siblings, Jean (Dan) Chartrand, Jim (Mary) Bauer, Bill Bauer and MaryAnne (John) Wilkin.
