Obituary

Richard Wood,75 Survived by his loving wife Judy Wood One brother Jack Wood Father of Richard and Michael Wood Cherished grandfather of three Richard V. Wood was born February 1, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Thelma Wood. At a young age he met his wife Judy A. Wood and married on February 16, 1963. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a missile leer for three years in Wyoming and Alaska. After his honorable discharge, Richard came home to St. Louis and built a home in Fenton with Judy where they raised their two boys, Richard and Michael Wood. He was very involved in his kids' lives. Richard helped coach their little league sports teams, got them involved in dirt biking and he enjoyed taking the family on big summer vacations. After his boys grew up Richard was promoted to a grandfather where he thrived on spoiling, loving, and taking adventures with his three grandchildren, Richard Douglas Wood, Alexandra Jane Wood, and Brendan Michael Wood. For the last 28 years, Richard loved going to their home at the lake with his family. Early mornings you would always find him on the lake doing what he loved most, fishing. He also relished the time he got to swim, boat, and spend the weekends with his family and friends. Memorials can be made to: Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517
