Richard James Steghaus, 88, of Oakville Missouri, passed away on July 8, 2024. He was born on February 4,1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. Richard is survived by his loving daughters Sherrill Brown, Denise Rickman, Corri (Rick) Payton; grandchildren Anna Brown, Mackenzie Rickman, Jennifer (John) Jenkins, Tyler (Kelsey) Payton, Thomas (Taylor) Payton, Meredith Payton, Molly Steghaus, Richard Steghaus; 11 Great-Grandchildren. He attended Mt. Providence School from kindergarten till he graduated from high school. After graduating high school, he began his career at Pevely Diary. In 1962, he began working at Puritan Medical Products as a local driver, delivering compressed gas and medical equipment until he retired in 2002 after 40 years of service. On December 12, 1975, he married Barbara after meeting at Puritan Medical Products. Rich always enjoyed riding motorcycles and jet ski's and was still riding the jet ski as of this year. He loved caring for his dog Charlie. He was a strong and independent man and well organized in all that he did. Services will be held graveside at St. Paul Churchyard on July 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM
