IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Lee
Creviston
February 13, 1955 – November 30, 2025
Richard "Rick" Lee Creviston, Jr., 70, passed away on November 30, 2025. He was born on February 13, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, to JoAnne Creviston and Richard Creviston, Sr.
Rick dedicated over 45 years of his life to Hyatt Hotels, where he served as an Executive Engineer. His skill, commitment, and leadership earned him three "Executive Engineer of the Year" awards-accomplishments that reflected not only his mastery of his craft but also the pride he took in his work. With a lifelong passion for building, designing, and understanding how things function, Rick approached every project with curiosity, creativity, and excellence.
Above all else, Rick loved his family deeply and unconditionally. He adored spending time with his grandchildren-taking them fishing, cheering them on at baseball, softball, soccer, and any event where he could show his support. Being present for them was one of his greatest joys.
An avid fisherman, Rick created a lifetime of stories on the water, including catching largemouth bass so impressive that few could claim to have seen or matched them. He had the heart of a teacher, a helper, and a cheerleader-always wanting to see everyone around him win. His generosity, his humor, and the light he shared with the world made it better, brighter, and kinder.
Rick often reminded those he loved, "Life is already hard enough, no need to make it any harder." His wisdom, compassion, and presence will be missed beyond measure.
This world is forever a lesser place without him, but the legacy he leaves behind-in the lives he touched and the love he gave-will continue to shine.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Richard Lee Creviston III.
Rick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Isabel; 2 children, Kelley and Andrew; five grandchildren, Ricky, Andy, Jesse, Khloe and Karter; and sister, Lianne Gabe.
