Peppie Kay Goevert (nee Mcbride), aged 69, sadly passed away on August 15, 2024 in St. Louis, MO. Born on July 6, 1955, daughter of Leslie and Helen Silverthorne Mcbride. She was named Peppie because she was born a peppy baby and lived up to her namesake. She lived a vibrant life spreading joy through her sense of humor and beautiful laugh. Peppie was kind, generous and was always the first to lend a helping hand. She took tremendous pride in her family and beloved grandchildren. Being "Mom" and "Grandma" were her most cherished roles in life. She was a valued member of the VFW Post 3500 Auxiliary, where she dedicated herself to supporting veteran's and their families. Peppie's warmth, generosity and vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends and the lives she touched. She is survived by her loving children Emily Goevert, Ellen Goevert, Charlotte Ludwig; sister Sue (Jim) Shirley; brother Gary Mcbride; two beloved grandchildren Henry Hulet and Iris Jane Stokes; brother in-law Jim Bennett. Peppie is preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Helen Silverthorne Mcbride; husband David Ludwig; sister Judy Bennett. Graveside service will be on August 23, 2024 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. 10:15 AM Gate Time. Please meet family behind the office in the parking lot of the cemetery.
