It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Patricia Ruth Wieneman. Pat left us on March 5, 2025, surrounded by various family members and attended by a Hospice nurse. Her favorite hymn, "On Eagle's Wings", played her into her transition from this life. Pat was born in St. Louis to Talmage and Ruth Gordon. She spent the majority of her life in Maplewood. She attended Maplewood-Richmond Heights schools and graduated in 1960. She was a devoted Cardinals fan and was especially vocal when yelling "CHARGE" at games. Pat was preceded in death by her spouse of nearly 50 years, Thomas Wieneman, whom she met while attending SEMO. They have four children and six grandchildren. Her two brothers, James and Stephen preceded her in death. Pat enjoyed attending performances at both the Muny and Fox. She served as a volunteer usher at the Fox for a number of years. She was also very active in the Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry, attended convocations, and was an active lay reader. Pat was known for her dry wit, infectious laugh, and occasional impish wink. Family and friends alike mourn her passing. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. As per her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date and her ashes scattered in Texas when the bluebonnets are in bloom. A celebration of life will be held on June 14, 2025, beginning at 11:00AM at Deer Creek Park East Pavilion (3200 N Laclede Station Rd; Maplewood).
