Nancy Rout, born Nancy Lee Smith, passed away this past Sunday, September 7th, 2025 at the age of 77. She was born in Montrose, Colorado, on May 22nd 1948. She is preceded by Kenneth Smith (father) and Gladys Smith (mother) as well as brothers Joey, Chris, and Jeff. She is survived by her sisters Karen Baretich, Sharon Alderete, Sandy Skelton, and Carol Winstead. She departs a loving family: Paul (husband), Steve (son), Cindy (daughter) as well as Travis and LeeAnn (grandchildren). She spent the last 58 years doted upon by Paul, her husband. Together they enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with family. On her own time, she volunteered at the food pantry Feed My People since retiring from Target. She also enjoyed embroidery, puzzles and playing Solitaire. She also loved reading romance books and loved going to Riverchase to swim aerobics. She will be lovingly remembered by her friends and family as she rests now.
