Mildred Gwendolyn Jensen was born in West Ridge, Arkansas to the late VL and Lillie Mae Cook. She was a country girl at heart, spending her childhood on a farm. She went to Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, receiving a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree. She taught school in both Arkansas and at the Northwest R-1 school district in Missouri. After retiring from teaching due to health issues she was a housewife and devoted mother. She was a member of Fenton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Ernest Ashley, with whom she shared a son, Robert Mark Jensen. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Robert Lee Jensen, with whom she shared a daughter, Leandra Gwenay Standlee. She was also preceded in death by her brother Oliver Cook. She is survived by her son Robert Jensen (Dolores), her daughter Leandra Standlee (John), Grandchildren Lauren (Christopher), Anna, Les Jensen and Nicolas and Gabriella Standlee, Great-grandson Azriel Knoebel. Mildred's first passion was her children and grandchildren, she always loved seeing them. She liked to travel while she was able. She enjoyed making ceramics and crafts, even giving ceramics lessons in her home. She owned an antique store with a friend and later a craft business with another friend. Reading was always one of her passions. She spent the last 16 years of her life at Meramec Bluffs Senior Living Facility.
