Michele Lillian Blackwell passed away at the age of 66 at 5:14 a.m. on July 12, 2022, at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She had been fighting COPD since 2013. She was born June 23, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Anthony and Colette Maly. Her father Anthony Maly served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Her mother Colette Maly is from Montherme, France. Michele is survived by her daughter Catherine Marie Jones and son in law Joshua Jones of Imperial, MO. Her grandchildren Desiree (Shane) Wiegand of Bonne Terre, MO, Kaitlyn, Alexandra and Antonio Murillo of Imperial, MO and Zack and Xander Jones of Imperial, MO. Her great-grandson Finn Wiegand of Bonne Terre, MO. Her spouse Keith Hafley of Union, MO. Her sisters Denise Maly of House Springs, MO and Christine (Dennis) Young of Fenton, MO. Her nephews and niece Eric (Jessica) Young of Fenton, MO, Andrew (Tara Garcia) Young of Eureka, MO and Marissa Young of Fenton, MO. Her great niece and great nephews Charlotte, Cole, and Jett. Her Cousins Steven, Jeanette, and Martha Hinsdale of Florida. Her cousins Jessica (Daniel) Vargas of Florida and Eric (Fatima) Valdes of Florida. She is also survived by her first husband Mark Branson (Catherine Jones, father). She is preceded in death by her second husband Dan Blackwell, her loving parents Anthony and Colette Maly and Uncle and Aunt Larry & Liliane Hinsdale. Her grandparents Anthony F. and Ola J Maly (nee Wilson) and Rene and Marthe Lefort. Her uncles Joseph Marshall and Frederick J. Maly. Her Aunt Guilaine Lefort and Uncle Bernard Lefort of Montherme, France. Her Great Uncle and Aunt Jean and Cecile Lesquoy of France and Great Aunt Renee Pierroux of France. Michele was a graduate of Eureka High School Class of 1974. She had two best friends for over 50 years Karen Rader and Sherri Schlitt that she stayed in contact with. She was on a bowling league and loved to play shuffleboard in her younger days. She worked several years for the USPS in Chesterfield, MO. Her last place of employment was Maritz on the Capital One Account. She was a fighter with her illness COPD for many years. Michele loved spending time with all her grandchildren. She made sure she was at the hospital for the birth of each grandchild. She loved to watch her tv shows, soaps and game shows. Her favorite tv shows were Golden Girls, Roseanne, and Friends. Her two favorite soap operas were The Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful. Game shows she liked to watch were Let's Make a Deal, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Her favorite Musicians were Bruce Springsteen, Archies, John Cougar Mellencamp and Elvis Presley.
