Michael T. Kiger
Michael was born on June 3, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication to family, loyal friendships, strong work ethic, and love of living life to the fullest.He passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026 at the age of 79.
Mike shared a loving marriage with his wife, Sharon Kiger, who was his partner and best friend through the years. He was a proud father to two children: his son, Michael Kiger II, who preceded him in death on May 7, 1997, and his daughter, Beth Woodson. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend, and grandfather.
A significant part of Mike's life was spent at A.G. Edwards, where he built a remarkable 34-year career. His colleagues knew him as hardworking, dependable, and dedicated to his profession. In 2002, he surprised many friends and coworkers when he chose to retire,beginning a new chapter filled with the pursuits he loved most.
Retirement allowed Mike to embrace life on his own terms. He enjoyed countless hours on the golf course and bowling lanes, traveled to new places, and most importantly, cherished time spent with his treasured friends and family. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying good company, Michael had a gift for making those around him feel valued and welcome.
Mike will be remembered for his warmth, resilience, loyalty, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His presence enriched the lives of many, and his memory will continue to live on through the family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Kiger; his daughter, Beth Woodson; his son-in-law,Billy Woodson; his grandson, Alex Morris; his siblings: Bruce Kiger, Wally (Mary) Kiger, Debbie(Vern) Prosser, Pam Kiger, and Jeff (Therese) Kiger. He was preceded in death by his son,Michael Kiger ll. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Mike's life at a later date, and details will be announced when available.
Though he is no longer with us, Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will never be forgotten.
