Martha Emily Stephenson passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 15, 2010 after a brief illness. She was 86. She had taught first grade for many years in the Maplewood, Sikeston and Vanduser districts. She was the dear mother of Joan Tiemann of Webster Groves. Grandmother of Bill (Eileen) Nelson of House Springs and Kate Nelson of Austin, Tx and great grandmother of Brittany and Ian Nelson. Visitation will be Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 10:30am-11:30am at the JAY B. SMITH FUNERAL HOME MAPLEWOOD CHAPEL, 7456 Manchester Rd. with a memorial service to be conducted at 11:30am. Memorials may be made to Forest Park Forever or The Repetory Theatre of St. Louis.
