Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Mark Charles Brabec announces his passing after a brief illness, on Thursday September 6th, 2018 at the age of 67. Mark will be lovingly remembered by his partner in life, Linda Stallings of Fenton, Daughter, Sarah and (Andy) Puckett of Morehead, N.C. Son, Michael Stallings of Fenton, Stepson Duane Meeks of St. Louis, Stepdaughter, Kelly Valentine of Swansboro N.C. Mark leaves many Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother, Guy. Sisters, Deborah, and Colleen, and Special friends, Kevin, Anita, and Vivian. Mark was preceded in death by his Father, John Charles Brabec, and Mother, Olivern (Hoyel) Brabec. Mark graduated from Hancock High School in St. Louis in 1969 and enlisted in the United States Navy on October 6th, 1970. Mark earned medals in National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, as well as, two bronze stars. Mark Worked at Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center for thirteen years and considered his coworkers his family. Visitation will be on Tuesday September 18, 2018 from 6-8 pm and eulogy and services at 8-9pm at Jay B. Smith Fenton Chapel 777 Oakwood Drive (at 141) Fenton, Mo 63026 Burial will be on September 19, 2018 at Jefferson Barracks at 10:30am. Jefferson Barracks 2900 Sheridan Road, Saint Louis, Mo 63125. Anyone that will be meeting the family at Jefferson Barracks the day of the service should meet at the Cemetery office by 10:15am Memorial donations in memory of Mark can be made to the VAMC St. Louis Fisher House St. Louis Fisher House #1 Jefferson Barracks Road Saint Louis Mo. 63125 314-894-6145
