Marilyn was born on September 12, 1936 in St. Charles MO. She passed away September 2 (10 days before her 90th birthday) in DePaul Hospital, Bridgeton MO after fighting Alzheimer's for many years. She grew up in St. Charles and met her husband of 63 years through a mutual friend and was married October 5, 1957. They lived in St. Louis for several years eventually moving back to St. Charles where they built their home and raised a wonderful family. She held several jobs before her longest job at Franklin Janitor in St. Louis as a one woman office manager, bookkeeper, and sales person. She was active in sports playing basketball and softball in high school, dancing, and later bowling competing in many tournaments away from home. She liked to entertain hosting Murder Mystery dinners and regular birthday and holidays. Family was also important; she enjoyed camping with her relatives and traveling around the country visiting relatives. Some of the more memorable trips where to Alaska for the Iditarod and Europe to visit their daughter. She liked deer hunting with a camera, because she couldn't kill a beautiful animal. She and her son started breeding Alaskan Malamutes for a school project. As an empty nester this became her hobby, breeding, training and showing the dogs for herself and other people making several champion dogs.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Donald Hedge, parents John Cutright and Ethel Cutright (Poe), brothers Wayne, David, Warren and Robert Cutright.
She is survived by her children Debra Doering (Hedge) and Ronald Hedge; her son-in-law Bernd Doering, two grandsons Julian (Annie) and Andreas Doering, Great Grand children Ezra Doering, Aria Hice, Liam Steen. She has one one surviving sister Carol Brown (Cutright) and one sister-in-law Lucille Hedge and many nieces and nephews.
Services:Visitation Tuesday September 8, 2026 10:00-11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church Harvester, 3866 South Old Hwy 94 St. Charles, Mo. 63304. Service time 11:00 am. Internment St. Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to The Alzheimer's Association .
