Cherished grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Robert Ellerbrock and the late Jeanette McGourty Our dear mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend. Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had dedicated her entire life to her family. She was a strong and unselfish person that always put others before herself. Lorraine not only raised her children, but was actively involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It wa not uncommon for her to be attending graduations, birthday parties, dance recitals, sporting events, fundraisers or being right in the mix for planning an upcoming wedding. Lorraine especially liked to listen to the Big Band Era of music and watch the best of classic movies. She loved reading and it was evident in the variety of books she had collected over the years. Lorraine loved to be on the go whether it was shopping or dining out with family members. She never bragged about it, but she was great artist in her day and still enjoyed drawing throughout her later years. Lorraine was a devout Catholic who believed that she will one day enter into Heaven and be with her loved ones who had gone before her. She found comfort in knowing that she would one day be reunited with her first born baby girl and her son Michael in Heaven. There was one thing that Lorraine was very adamant about and she made it clear to everyone "A meal was not complete unless you ended it with sweets". Lorraine was a member of The Esther Chapter of the Order of Goodfellows and The Red Hat Society. Funeral Mass Fri. May 27, 2016, 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 17 Ann Ave, Valley Park, MO.
