Mrs. Loretta Joan Clayton (née Hannick), 81, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed away on April 8, 2020 with her husband by her side. Mrs. Clayton was born November 3, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Charles and Bernice Hannick. On October 20, 1962 she was united in Holy Matrimony at Sacred Heart Church (Valley Park, MO) to Lloyd Thomas Clayton of Scott City, MO. Their union was blessed with two children and three grandchildren. Mrs. Clayton loved to dance, write literature, including poems for her grandchildren, and do puzzles. She was known most for her compassion, beautiful blue eyes, and golden hair locks. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her two children, Thomas Lloyd Clayton and Jennifer Lynn Ferguson; her daughter in law, Yvonne Clayton; three grandchildren, Jacob Clayton, Madison Clayton, and Garrett Ferguson, lifelong dear friend Doris Young, and many other devoted friends and family members. Services will be held for immediate family on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, Fenton, MO. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
