Larry Wilard Janis August 9, 2018 Beloved husband of the late Patsy Jeanne Janis Dear son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Jesse Janis formerly of Farmington, Mo. Loving father of Susan (Randy) Dean of St. Louis, Mo. Dear brother of Virginia Chapman Larry was the son a baptist preacher. he served his country in both the Army and Air Force. He taught junior high students for many years.He lived in Alaska with his wife and daughter for 8 years. Back in St. Louis he became known for his Alaska stories. He developed a hillbilly character named Kuzin Zeke. He authored "Greasy Creek" and a second book is in the works. He loved to read, travel,fish, and hunt. He was always active in the church he was a member of. He was a long time faithful servant of God. Visitation 9:30am to 12:30pm with funeral service 12:30pm at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home Fenton Chapel 777 Oakwood Dr. (at 141) Interment at Jefferson Barracks National cemetery with full military honors
