Kyle Mitchell Guthier (9/11/1984-7/18/2026)

Kyle Mitchell Guthier, 41, of University City, MO, beloved husband of Roxanne (Roxye) Guthier (Nee Cash) and sweet father of two children, Kaden Guthier and stepdaughter Morgan Williams, died unexpectedly from health complications on 7/18/2026, leaving behind a deeply felt absence in the lives of those who knew him.

Kyle was born 9/11/1984 at the Charleston Naval Hospital in South Carolina, to George "Skip" Nicholas Joseph Guthier Jr. (Anna Christine) and Esperansa Garza DeHoyos. Kyle, the son of an enlisted family, lived in Spain, Annapolis, Maryland, and Okinawa, Japan, returning to the United States and eventually finding home in St. Louis, MO. Kyle attended Roosevelt High School and graduated from Camp LeJeune High School in 2002.

As a chef, Kyle had the heart of a servant; he loved his wife, Roxye, and his children, Kayden and Morgan, and if you knew anything about Kyle, you knew he loved you as well. Though Kyle had no formal culinary training, he worked in some of the finest restaurants in St. Louis, hanging his apron up for the last time at Lydia's Ladle. In his spare time, Kyle enjoyed renaissance fairs and hanging out with Roxy and the kids.

Kyle is survived by: Roxanne "Roxye" Guthier/ Wife; Kayden Guthier/ Son; Morgan Williams/ Stepdaughter; George "Skip" Nicholas Joseph Guthier Jr. / Father; Anna Christine Guthier/Stepmother; Esperansa Wilder/ Mother; Benjamin Adam Guthier/ Brother; Page Lynn Guthier/Niece. The service will be on 07/24/2026 at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home (7456 Manchester Road , Maplewood, MO 63143). Visitation starts at 12 PM and the service is at 4:00 PM.
