Kevin Lynn Redmond, age 63, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 25, 1961, to Dorothy and Ellison Redmond, and was the youngest of five siblings: Lettie, Ella, Sabrina, Cynthia, and Darryl. Kevin grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri, and enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduating from Webster Groves High School. His military service took him around the world, eventually leading him to Stuttgart, Germany, where he met the love of his life, Katharina-affectionately known as Katja. They were married in Denmark and later returned to the United States, where they welcomed two children: Kevin Lee and Saleena. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katharina, and daughter, Saleena. He is survived by his son, Kevin Lee, and his grandson, Kylan, whom he lovingly called "Boook-a-boo." Later in life, he spent many years alongside his dear friend and partner, Cynthia "Vonnie" Ragland. Until her passing in 2016, you would rarely see them apart. Kevin was a talented man with many passions, including music, photography, movies, cars and motorcycles. Many knew him as one of the best mechanics in town-completely self-taught and deeply dedicated to his craft. Over the years, he earned the trust of hundreds of loyal customers through his hard work, honesty, and genuine connections. Not even rain, sleet, or snow could keep him from showing up for those in need. He loved to dance and never missed a chance to tear up the dance floor. He was also an avid storyteller, always ready with a tale that could make anyone smile-so much so that you'd often have to remind him you'd heard that story seventeen times before. He didn't care; he'd tell it again just the same. Those stories will be missed by many.
