Obituary

Kerri LaDon Harvell nee Williams passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2023. Kerri was born in Creve Coeur, Missouri on September 5, 1977 to her loving parents, James and Melody Williams. Kerri spent most of her childhood in Fenton, MO growing up with her older brother, Ryan, and her younger sister, Briana and attended Eureka High school, graduating in 1995. Her dad, Jim, instilled in her the value of hard work and from the time she was sixteen earned her own gas and spending money. Kerri shined brightest when she was working with and taking care of small children and in 1998, began working at the Early Childhood Center in the Rockwood School District. Kerri met her husband, Brian, in 1999, at Pops where he recalls vividly seeing her from the upstairs balcony sitting at a table by the stage and telling his buddy that he had to go talk to "that girl." Kerri must have been charmed because she and Brian were married on September 3, 2004. Thanks to an extended honeymoon in Jamaica due to Hurricane Ivan, Kerri and Brian welcomed their first of three daughters, Abigail LaDon, in June of 2005. Grace Marie came shortly after in 2006 and their family became complete in 2011 when Madelyn Elizabeth was born. They made their home in Imperial, Missouri where they are raising their beautiful daughters. Kerri spent countless hours making the inside and outside of their home beautiful by decorating for every holiday and season and planting flowers in the spring. She attended Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo. Kerri left work as a Preschool Teacher in Rockwood when her children were young and worked at First Missouri Credit Union in Arnold for many years. Most recently she was employed by Amazon. Kerri was filled with so much joy through all the children in her life, not only her daughters, but also her nephew and nieces. Kerri enjoyed playing games and planning birthday parties for the kids. Her girls remember how she always had a new, creative game for everyone to play and never hesitated to make homemade playdough and set up the water table. They loved listening to interactive kids songs like "Going on a Bear Hunt" and the "Bean Bag Color Bop" with their mom. One of their more recent favorite and hilarious games to play as a family was "Watch Your Mouth." Kerri was never too embarrassed to play no matter who was around. She cherished every moment with her family whether she was traveling to Nashville, attending concerts, cheering on her daughters at softball games, or celebrating holidays. Her family will miss her greatly. Kerri is survived by her husband, Brian, and daughters, Abby, Grace, and Madelyn all of Imperial, MO. She is also survived by her mother, Melody Williams, of Fenton, MO, brother Ryan (Jessica) Williams, and sister, Briana (Jason) DePaul, both of Imperial, MO, nephew and nieces, Randy, Emma, Shea, Haley, and Morgan, her great- niece and nephew, Harper and Lennon along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by father, James Williams, Grandparents, Robert and Dolores Williams and Paul and Verna Young. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Homes Fenton Chapel 777 Oakwood Dr. Fenton , MO 63026 Funeral Service on Thursday, July 20th at 11:00 AM Interment to follow at Lakewood Cemetery
