Karen Sue Davis, 72, went on to be with the Lord Jesus on August 22, 2020 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 25, 1948, and was a treasured daughter of August "Ivan" and Audrey Nelson. For 49 years, she was the beloved wife of Raymond Allen Davis, who preceded her in death in May of 2019. Karen was known for her love of Jesus, an amazing sense of humor and simply a kind heart. She lived a life devoted to Christ and family. She exemplified Galatians 5:22 living out the fruits of the spirit -love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. While attending her alma mater, Cedarville College, she met Ray, the love of her life. They eventually moved to St. Louis where they raised their 4 children. Karen served in a number of churches through the years. Karen was known in Brentwood as the "Snow Cone Lady" as her family owned a snow cone/snack booth, which became a summertime must "go to" throughout the years. Karen is survived by siblings and spouses, Judith "Judy" and Dale Thrasher, Jeanne and Steve Herman and David and Joan Nelson, her children and their spouses Audra and Wallace "Sonny" Barrett, Matthew Davis, Michael and Michelle Davis and Kristy and Ryan Smith and grandchildren Madison, Logan, Keidis, August, Adrian, Westyn and Colton.
