Vastine, Rose Vastine, Deborah Vastine, Ralph Vastine Jr., Michael Vastine, Robert Vastine, Linert Vastine, the late Betty Vastine, and the late John P. Vastine Special niece Mary A. Vastine She was a mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. Mom loved and helped raise her siblings and neighbor's kids through the years. The way she showed her love to family, neighbors and friends was through her cooking. She was the best cook around! If mom caught you trying to sneak a piece before she was done cooking, she'd get you. Her home was always open. To family, friends or anyone that needed a warm meal, you would not go hungry at Judy's house. You would also not go without good advice. For as sweet as her cooking was, she was not one to sugarcoat things. She told it like it was. Our mother was a dancing machine. Dancing was her love, and it was her passion. It represented all that she is and exactly how she lived her life. The beauty of the music touched her so deeply because she embodied its essence. It was who she was. To be there with the music. To enjoy and live all the notes life had to offer -- fully in the present. She sought music and dancing in all that she did and all that she was. Music and dancing were her life. She especially loved Elvis, Marvin Gaye, and Motown. The only rival to music and dancing in her life was her children and her grandchildren. And even in the children, her ways were flowing, melodic and light. Lyrics and tunes she poured with grace into their ears. This was who our mother was: A joyful woman who sang and danced her way through the twists and turns of life…never stopping too long to wonder why, but just to live, to dance and sing and enjoy the people she loved. She brought music into everyone's life with her presence. This will not be the end. We will carry her music and dancing in our hearts.
