Joseph Matthias Hentschel Sr. age 92 passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at his home with his family around him. He was born on February 25, 1932, son of the late George and Anna Strake Hentschel. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Sutter Hentschel; children Joseph Hentschel Jr. and Jennifer Hentschel; sister Mary Ann Hentschel; and on loving Granddaughter Alexis Brooke Hentschel. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents George and Anna Strake Hentschel, brother's Sylvester Hentschel, Cletus Hentschel,George Hentschel, one sister Ann Marie Woody, and one infant child. Family will have a private Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis MO. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Heather of Phoenix Hospice for the care she gave to Joseph and his family during this difficult time.
