John C. Prosser Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 25th, 2016. He was born in St. Louis, MO, on May 6th, 1947 to William & Carmelina Prosser. He was the beloved husband of Yvonne Prosser of 41 years; Loving father of John C. (Anna) Prosser II; Cherished brother of the late Laura Nocito; Dear brother-in-law of John Nocito, Beverly (Richard) Fairless, Garney (Mary) Coleman, Garnet (John) Rutledge, Brenda (Bob) Shoults, Terry (Karen) Coleman, & Lindell (Susie) Coleman; our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, where he grew up on The Hill - even working for Rigazzi's Italian Restaurant as a busboy; he graduated from Southwest High School. Mr. Prosser proudly served his country in the Army, 1st Bn, 31st Infantry, 7th Infantry Division. This included 1 year on the Korean DMZ in 1968-69. After returning from the service, he met his wife Yvonne, and soon became a devoted husband and father. He then spent most of his career life in marketing and real estate. John enjoyed life. He was a fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a true Cardinal's fan. He took pleasure in music and the arts; he painted, wrote poems, and short stories. He loved to tell stories and bring joy to others.
