John McLaughlin was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who brought a smile to everyone's face he met. He loved his family and would spend as much time as he could with them, dogs included. When he wasn't busy spending time with his family, he enjoyed sneaking Mcdonald's French fries to the family dogs, fishing, swimming at Shrewsbury Pool, walking Crestwood Mall, and cruising through Forest Park with his wife, Joyce. Most of all, many will remember how contagious his big smile and joking personality were. John is survived by his children Belinda Nahmensen, Cheryl Wohlschlaeger, and Cindy Gall. His grandchildren Dani Britt, Garrett Britt, David Pracht, Lisa Pracht, John Paul Cushman, Brittany Mims, Eric Gall, Kasey Gall, and his great-grandchildren, Riley Britt, Ella Britt, Leah Pracht, and Sean Britt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He joins his beloved wife, Joyce McLaughlin, parents John and Maud McLaughlin, grandson, Brian Pracht, and his siblings, Ester Price, Clyde McLaughlin, Lindsay McLaughlin, Harry McLaughlin, Junior McLaughlin, Clifford McLaughlin, Velma Bice, and Jerry McLaughlin. Visitation Services will take place at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 4:00-8:00. Funeral services will take place at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home at 10:00 followed by burial at Jefferson Barracks at 11:30 am.
