John (Johnnie) Comia passed away at his home in Fenton, MO on March 14, 2024 at the age of 86. John was born on October 15, 1937, in Saint Louis, MO to Gaetano (Tony) and Catarina (Catherine) Comia (nee Noto). John was a devoted and loving father to Mike Comia, Sharron (Joe) Schulte and Scott Comia; proud grandfather to Caspian Schulte, Chloe Bodway and Landon Comia; and a beloved uncle and friend to many. John is survived by his daughter Sharron Schulte (nee Comia) and son Scott Comia, his grandchildren Caspian Schulte, Chloe Bodway and Landon Comia, his sister Francie Hoffmann (nee Comia) and his loving ex-wife and lifelong friend Nancy Comia-Hoffman. John is preceded in death by his father Gaetano and mother Catarina, his son Michael and his son-in-law Joe Schulte. He is also preceded in death by his siblings Rosie, Sammy, Felicia, Boniface (Fit), Fofo, Tony, Jr., Joe, Charlie, Anthony, Catherine, and Vince. John was a selfless and loving man that left a mark on the lives of everyone that he met. He loved his family and friends fiercely, with the BIGGEST heart imaginable. John spent most of his life working hard and perfecting skills in many different industries to provide the best life he could for his family. John loved people, the outdoors and dogs. His favorite thing to do was to visit and shoot the breeze with family and friends. John loved spending nice days and evenings on The Piazza (his patio) with his dear friend Aaron Brown, his beloved dog Buddie, and neighbors. John inspired so many with his untiring work ethic, deep love, raw sense of humor and he has left us all with so many memorable quotes that probably should not be listed here! The visitation for John Comia will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, 2:00-5:30 pm at Jay B. Smith Fenton Chapel. A service will immediately follow at 5:30 pm.
