Obituary

JoAnne Totah Ensign passed from our hands into the Lord's on November 6, 2017. Born December 24, 1929, she was the youngest child of John and Katie Totah and is preceded in death by them and her siblings: Mary Alice, Najla, and Victor. She is survived by her grateful children, Andrew (Diana), Christina (Charles), and Philip (Vera); Her grandchildren Kyle, Katie, Sam, Isaac, and Will: and her great-granddaughter Nevaeh. JoAnne was a teacher, a musician, a lover of animals, a person of great religious faith, and someone who was genuinely in lives and well-being of others. She loved to talk to just about anyone she met and had a gift of making other people feel special and appreciated, as shown by her early years in teaching and subsequent administrative work in schools and customer service. Her love of music manifested itself in her piano playing and many years singing in various choirs. Her love for animals was shown in not only the pets she cared for as a child and adult but in all the different pet species she tolerated in her children's early years.
