Jinkerson (Katherine) Dear Sister of Theresa Gilreath Dear Sister-in-law of Walter Jinkerson (Pat) Dear Aunt of Anne Marie Loretta Marleen Cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother Joan was a resident of Fenton for 48 years. She was a member of the Fenton Garden Club for over 18 years. Joan was a loving wife of George for 55 years. These years bonded them close together, so much so that they shared many of the same likes and dislikes. Only they knew how the other truly felt about everything. They stayed by each other always. In the early years when Joan's children were young, she was part of the Mother's Club at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Joan was a Cub Scout leader and Girl Scout leader. Among the many things that made Joan so special was her love for her children. She was known as mom to many children in the neighborhood. Joan was an avid gardener. With her husband George by her side, they created beautiful gardens throughout their yard. These gardens produced lovely flowers, vegetables, and plants of all kind. A few favorites were roses and black-eyed susans. The garden also attracted many types of birds. Among her favorites were the hummingbirds and the cardinals. During Joan's life, she never knew a stranger. Every person who ever met Joan was touched by her love, her happiness, and her kindness. Joan shared her smiles, her laughter, kind words, or even a gentle touch when needed. Joan's acceptance of others was an endearing quality. Joan accepted others into her life with love from the beginning. She was truly an Angel on Earth. Joan will be forever missed. She will be forever in our hearts. Joan's memory will live on in the gentle breezes that make the springtime flowers sway, in the fast pace of a hummingbird that comes to a halt at a flower to take a sip, and in the smiles of every person's life she changed just by being blessed for knowing her.
