He was also proceeded in death by his 7 siblings: Frank; John; Mac; Gene; Alice; Marie; and Kat; as well as his daughter Donna J. Coleman, who passed in January of 2024. May they all rest peacefully. He loved Cardinal's baseball, gardening, barbecuing, quiz games/word puzzles, and above all, his family. Stoic and steady, he was always willing to give others anything, from an ear to vent to, to a bed to sleep in and everything between. For those he loved, his understanding and patience knew no boundary; he was truly selfless. He was also very, very funny and effortlessly cool in every era of his life, spreading joy to those close to him even in the most difficult times. All were better for having known him. He will be remembered well and fondly by those he leaves behind. James served in the Air Force from 1956-1959 in a communications unit that did a tour of duty in Korea. He also worked as a butcher, a grocer, and as a groundskeeper, rarely missing a day or being late for work. He worked very hard to provide security for his family. Visitation is from 3pm-8pm Monday, March 3rd. Funeral services will be from 10am-11am Tuesday, March 4th. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks at 11:30am Tuesday, March 4th.
