Obituary

Jessica Taylor Castile, 21 Ms. Jessica "Jessi" Castile passed away unexpectedly doing one of her favorite things, chasing sunsets, that ended in a tragic UTV accident. This tragedy took place on Saturday July 18, 2020 in Trenton, IL. Jessi is survived by her parents, Mark Castile and Lee (Schmierbach) Castile-Walton (Partner of Mark: Lori Lienau and Spouse of Lee: David Walton) of St. Louis, MO; her sisters Jennifer (Castile) Gaeng and Jaime Castile (Spouse of Jennifer: Daniel Gaeng and Partner of Jaime: Michael Lindsay); the love of her life, Daniel Cheatwood, and his parents Scott and Kimberly Cheatwood. Beloved granddaughter of Sonia and the late John Schmierbach, Sandra and the late Frank Castile Sr.; dear niece of Kevin Schmierbach, Frank Castile Jr. and Kimberly Berry and cousin of John Schmierbach and Justin Berry. Jessi was born May 26, 1999, in St. Louis, MO to Mark and Lee Castile. She was the most compassionate and selfless person, with a heart of gold. She was a positive light in everyone's life. She was determined to make any idea she had come to fruition. She had a passion for helping others, exploring the outdoors, traveling the country, and soaking up as much quality time as she could with her loved ones. She spent many weekends hiking through the wilderness with her beloved dog, Kaya. She graduated from Rockwood Summit High School in 2017, and was attending UMSL, where she would have graduated with a nursing degree in 2021. Jessi met her high school sweetheart, Daniel, her sophomore year and they have been inseparable ever since. They had an undeniable love for each other, and amazing plans for their future together. They had a promise to each other to marry one day and make every one of their plans a reality. One of those plans included moving further out, buying lots of land, and filling that land with many dogs and alpacas. Family was always so important to Jessi, and she always made sure to spend time with her loved ones. She had an unbreakable bond with her two sisters, Jennifer and Jaime. When together, there was no denying the special connection they all shared and how much love they had for one another. She remained close with her mother and father throughout her lifetime and will always be their baby girl. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Fenton, MO. The memorial will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the service will immediately follow, starting at 4:00 pm. There will be a reception to follow at her Father's home.
