Jeffrey Scott Jones, known to his loved ones as Jeff, passed away on October 1, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 57. He was born on June 2, 1966, in St. Louis. Jeff's vibrant and joyful nature touched the lives of many. He had a deep love for his family and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Jeff had a passion for music, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and cherished moments on the water in his boat with his family and friends. Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Dawn Jones, their daughter Alyssa Nichole Jenks, their son Garrett Scott Jones and son-in-law Zac Jenks. He is also survived by his parents, John and Lola Jones, his brother Ken Jones, his sister Cherie Bruckner, and many extended family members and dear friends. Jeff attended Lindbergh High School, working at Don Darr Pontiac for eight years during his high school and undergraduate education. He went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, followed by earning a Professional Engineering Certification and MBA from Maryville University. He began his career at MidAmerica Energy in Davenport, Iowa, and went on to become the Director of Energy & Fuel Management at Ameren Missouri, where he dedicated over 20 years of service. Outside of work, Jeff had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He enjoyed boating, traveling, attending music events, running, hiking, and biking. His zest for life was evident in everything he pursued. Jeffrey Scott Jones will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His contagious laughter, smile, love, and kindness will forever be remembered and cherished. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on October 14, 2023, at Lake St. Louis Community Center. An open house will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 where all those who loved him are invited to attend and share their cherished memories of him. In lieu of flowers, the Jones family kindly requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association in Jeff's honor.
