Obituary

Jeanette Clara Teson "McDonald" 96, passed away on July 6, 2024 in St. Louis, MO. She was born on November 28, 1927, beloved daughter of the late David and Clara Laubert McDonald. Jeanette was married to Merrill J. Teson for 69 Years and he passed away on December 3, 2017. She is survived by her nieces Cynthia (Danny) Hebenstreit and Patricia (Late Riley) Hughes; Nieces; Nephews; Great Nieces and Nephews on both sides. Jeanette was a die-hard Cardinals fan and loved being at the stadium anytime she could with a nice cold beer, popcorn, and an ice cream treat. She proudly wore her Scott Rolen jersey and snagged an autograph from players whenever possible. She treasured Manager LaRusso's autograph because it was a rarity for him to give. Being a bookkeeper was an excellent fit for her, given her desire to be meticulous in all pursuits. In her last years, which were particularly challenging for her, when asked how she was doing, she always came back with, "I am doing the best I can," which was often true. Though she had many other memorable phrases, one particularly sweet one was "Well, that's a bunch," which is how she responded in her last year to hearing she was 96! Jeanette is preceded in death by her Beloved parents, Loving sister Lorene McDonald Horn and Step-Mother "Mom Rose". Visitation will be on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, Maplewood, MO. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2024 at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, with John J. Hardy Officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. next to her loving husband.
