Jamila Yezza , age 33 , passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024. Born on September 25, 1990, in St. Louis, Missouri. Jamila was the beloved daughter of Abdel Yezza and Jean (Hudson) Cox Jamila is survived by her parents Abdel Yezza and Jean Cox; Sisters Amina Gettinger, Nassira (Colin) Moore, Hannadey Yezza; Nieces and Nephews Jackson Gettinger, Westen Gettinger, Sloane Underwood, Mason Moore, Penelope Moore; Grandmother Vera Hudson. Jamila graduated from North St. Francois County High School in 2008 and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Psychopharmacology from Saint Louis University . She recently started a career of real estate alongside her father where she touched the lives of many and created lasting relationships with her colleagues and clients. Beyond her professional life, Jamila loved attending concerts and spending time with friends and family. She had a smile that could light up the darkest room and a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh even at the most serious of moments. She was an avid Plant lover, crafter, an enthusiastic reader, and a dedicated lover of all arts. Jamila's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her love for her family and friends was evident in everything she did, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jamila is preceded in death by her Grandfather Jack Hudson Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children Hospital.
